| For centuries, Almond trees have covered the hillsides of Italy making it an inspiration to Renaissance painters like Bernardino Luini of Saronno, Italy who painted hundreds of frescos with Almond trees in the background, including the fresco of the Santa Maria delle Grazie church. Saronno Italy became the center of the world for almonds as it’s sweet and nutty flavors were in demand to create cookies, marzipan and one of the most famous of all Italian liquors, Amaretto (as in Amaretto di Saronno™). Like the nut and amber liquor, Diamanti’s Toasted Almond is a medium yellow tone that has a bright, casual and natural look that makes any room feel friendly and welcoming. Toasted Almond is an ideal compliment for earthy browns, tans and beiges. | | |
